Jude 1:24-25 is the closing signature of this letter. In these verses Jude encourages his readers and ascribes praise to God. These statements continue the general theme given in prior verses: to avoid sin, with the purpose of exalting Christ. Jude's brief letter describes men at their worst and God at His best.

Now Unto Him (Doxology / Benediction) This is a short worship hymn which is sometimes used as a blessing. It was originally called Benediction . The words are directly based on the final three verses of the Epistle to Jude, ie Jude 23-25. This is sometimes called Jude 1:23-25, but the 1 is unnecessary because the book only has one chapter.

So how do both of these work together? Richard Sims, a Puritan writer, once wrote: "As we say of the mother and the child, both hold. But the safety of the child is that the mother holds him." It's not that the child's grip is unimportant; it's that one grasps with the strength of a child; the grasp of the other remains fixed.
